“EACH SOUL REKINDLED” exists to see every individual…
Through energetic, expository, and encouraging ministry in local Baptist churches.
Nathan Birt was saved at the age of five, and in junior high, he got assurance of his salvation. He soon surrendered to the ministry and developed a burden for revival in America. He and his wife, Alyssa, met at West Coast Baptist College, graduated in May of 2013, and were married the next month. God has blessed them with three beautiful children.
Nathan served on the pastoral staff of Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA, under the leadership of Pastor Paul Chappell, serving in the children’s ministry for about ten years. He also served on the administration of West Coast Baptist College overseeing student life for five years. In 2018, Dr. John Goetsch and Nathan published Revival Today, a devotional that shares great revivals of the past for every day of the year. In 2021, he began traveling with Dr. Jim Schettler for Higher Call Youth Summits around the country. He was also able to complete his Doctorate of Ministry in expository preaching in 2022. Currently, Nathan and his family travel with the goal of seeing “each soul rekindled” through the power of the Gospel. He also teaches online classes at West Coast Baptist College.
Revival today—do you believe it could happen? Or do you believe that revival was only for yesterday? Have times changed and society worsened so that a reviving of God’s people is no longer probable…or even possible? When we hear of the great revivals of yesteryear, we tend to forget that they were all preceded by great spiritual darkness. After all, God doesn’t send revival to those who don’t need it!
Each devotion in this book is written to encourage you that revival is still possible today. Each daily reading describes an event or individual from the past that God has used to bring revival. It is an on-this-day book, with most readings featuring a historic event that took place on the same day you will read it, some years prior. Read them and be reminded that the same God who worked in the past continues to work today.
